Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe make authentic wines in a restored 17th century winery in the village of Oggau on the Neusiedlersee lake in Burgenland in Austria. Indigenous varieties farmed biodynamically show the true nature and interest of what Austrian wines can achieve. Stephanie and Eduard felt each of their plots showed a unique personality and wanted to ensure that this was portrayed from vine to glass hence the distinctive caricatured faces on each label. Gut Oggau are Demeter certified biodynamic and a member of Renaissance des Appellations which is a worldwide body for the co-promotion of authentic terroir wines.
